ADHD: Beyond Labels and Solutions

ADHD Assessment Pathway

We understand that taking the first step toward an ADHD assessment can feel overwhelming. That’s why we have designed a clear and supportive pathway to guide you through the process. Our comprehensive ADHD assessment is divided into four parts, ensuring a thorough evaluation of your unique experiences.

It is conducted by qualified and experienced health professionals that will determine whether you meet the criteria for ADHD. The complete ADHD Assessment package, which includes a detailed diagnostic report, is available for £950.

If you are still unsure, you can click ‘Book a free consultation below’ to arrange a convenient free session to ask any questions.

part 1: Exploring Your Story

Your journey begins with a 90-minute meeting with a RESET practitioner. This session is designed to help us understand your unique story—your history, development, and the factors that have shaped your experiences. We’ll take the time to explore what’s brought you here and what challenges you’re facing.

At the end of this session, we’ll ask you to identify two people who can help us complete the picture:

  • Someone who knew you during childhood
  • Someone who knows you now as an adult

You’ll also receive a self-assessment questionnaire to share important details about your medical history (personal and family). This step ensures that we consider the full context of your life and experiences.

part 2: Diving Deeper into Your Experiences

After completing the questionnaires, you’ll have a 90-minute session with our ADHD assessor. In this session, we’ll focus on ADHD-related symptoms and how they affect your day-to-day life.

We’ll also provide you with a Quantitative Behavioural Testing code to complete the next step. This evidence-based test offers further insights into your behavioural patterns, helping us build a thorough understanding of your unique brain.

part 3: Understanding Your Results

Once your Quantitative Behavioural (QB) testing is complete, you’ll be invited to a 30-minute meeting with your ADHD assessor. This session is all about you—helping you make sense of your results and understand what they mean in the context of your experiences.

We’ll take the time to answer your questions and ensure you feel confident about the next steps. Clarity is key, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

How long is the process from first appointment to diagnosis?

This can take as little as 3-4 weeks if all required paperwork is returned promptly.

Yes, you can pay in 2 or 3 monthly instalments.

No. In the UK, ADHD can be diagnosed by a range of qualified healthcare professionals, not just doctors. Specialist ADHD nurse practitioners are highly trained in assessing and diagnosing ADHD using evidence-based methods. They follow the same rigorous guidelines as psychiatrists including structured clinical interviews, validated assessment tools, and in-depth history-taking.

At The RESET Health Group, our ADHD specialist nurse has extensive experience in diagnosing and supporting individuals with ADHD. They work within national guidelines and, if needed, can liaise with other professionals to ensure the most accurate and comprehensive assessment.

A formal diagnosis from an ADHD nurse holds the same validity as one from a psychiatrist.

Receiving an ADHD diagnosis is the first step toward understanding yourself better—and now, you have options for moving forward.

A diagnosis will give you a pathway to medication. However, medication alone isn’t a complete solution-it can help manage symptoms, but it doesn’t teach you the skills needed to thrive with ADHD.

At The RESET Health Group, we offer a therapy-led approach to help you break free from patterns of overwhelm, procrastination, and self-doubt. Our work goes beyond symptom management—we focus on the deeper emotional and behavioural aspects of ADHD, particularly when it’s linked to past trauma.
